Crazy Horse's eponymous 1971 debut was released on the heels of the band's brilliant work with Neil Young on his albums Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere and After the Gold Rush. Core members Danny Whitten, Billy Talbot, and Ralph Molina are joined here by producer Jack Nitzsche, guitarist Nils Lofgren, and Ry Cooder on slide guitar. 

The 11-song set picks right up where they left off with Young, featuring five strong originals from Whitten, a pair from Lofgren, as well as the original version of "Downtown" which also appeared on Young's 1975 release Tonight's The Night.
