Shipping Policies
The Jazz Loft uses the United States Postal Service for domestic and international shipments. UPS service is available for orders over $150.00 upon request. Before finalizing your purchase, you will be given several shipping options. The shipping rates are based on the weight of your items and are calculated directly by the Postal Service. A small handling fee is included in the amount shown to cover the cost of mailing supplies, etc.
Shipping Times
We try to process all orders within 48 hours. For items we have in stock, orders are processed within 1 business day. For back orders and items not in stock, orders are usually processed within 7 to 14 days, with the occasional exceptions of import or special order items. It really depends on how quickly we can get the items from the publishers and manufacturers. Generally within 2 weeks you will be notified of the status of your order. As soon as we get your items, they will be shipped. You will receive an email confirmation that your order has been shipped.
Domestic Orders
We offer two services for domestic orders: Media Mail and First Class/Priority Mail. Media Mail costs much less but can take 10-21 days to reach its destination. First Class or Priority generally takes 3-5 days, depending on the destination distance from Seattle. We use delivery confirmation on all orders. Flat Rate Priority is also available for larger orders.
International Orders
All orders outside the United States are sent by either U.S. Postal Service First Class International Mail or Priority International Mail. The U.S. Postal Service no longer offers Economy Surface Mail. First Class International generally takes 7-10 days for delivery. However, we have seen it take up to 30 days to some countries lately, such as Italy and Germany due to customs delays. International Priority takes 3-5 days for delivery to most countries. Flat Rate boxes are also available for larger orders.
Is U.S. Postal Service Express Next Day Shipping available? Generally, no. It takes us 1 day to process orders for items that we have in stock. For items not in stock, the processing time can take 7 to 14 days. If you require next day shipping for items in stock, you may phone us at: (425) 646-6406. Please note that there may be a rush service charge added to your order total. We can often process rush orders the same business day.
